For those who know me the following statement may sound strange. When I read the Word I try to condense my thoughts about a passage so that I can get the main idea of what the author is saying in my head. It helps me to keep the flow of the passage so I can better understand it. Many call this, "The Big Idea." That's what is behind me writing about the Main Themes of the New Testament Books.
I'm still struggling with with some of these themes, but feel like they give a good idea of what each New Testament book is trying to convey. I challenge you to read through your New Testament, and try to figure out the main themes. I know it will encourage you, as you try to get a handle on the Word of God.
